Goals

Abstract goals to achieve a healthy lifestyle:

  • No more binges
  • Exercise most days of the week
  • Frequently drink water
  • Maintain a running presence
  • Hang out with others while staying aware of good choices
  • Mostly eat at home and cook more
  • Encourage my family to stay fit

Concrete (weight-related) goals to achieve for a healthy lifestyle:

  • Run at least one race in 2014
  • Weigh 155 lbs by my birthday in October (CHECK)
  • Weigh 145 lbs by the end of the fall semester
  • Weigh 140 lbs by the end of March
  • Maintain 140 lbs through the beginning of summer

  1. I’m a very goal-oriented person, too, when it comes to weight loss. I’ve found that Health Month (healthmonth.com) is really effective in helping me stick to my goals. I can create my own and then sign on every day to say whether or not I did the previous day. It’s become a little habit that has helped keep me on track. 🙂 I hope it can come in handy for you, too!

    BTW: It’s a free service as long as you have three goals or fewer a month. If you have more than three, you can pay $5 a month or try to get sponsorship from others who do pay (which I was able to do this month).

  2. Those are great goals to have, and I am glad your goals are only only weight/scale related. Doing so can really play mind games with you, because you will probably not lose the pounds as fast as you would like!!!
